My wife is Chinese and we married in March 2008. Is there a quicker way to get her a UK passport than doing the two year temporary visa and one year permanent leave to remain and then, after that year is up, applying for citizenship?
After getting the two year spouse visa, and then applying for indefinite leave to remain, your wife can apply for citizenship immediately IF she has been legally resident in the UK for a total of three years.
